1994 a 2000s
Building the foundation for global scale
Indorama Ventures begins in 1994 with a clear belief: when scale, innovation, and the right people come together, chemistry can create meaningful impact.
Over the following years, the business expands internationally, building production capabilities, technical expertise, and a growing global footprint. More than geographic expansion, this period establishes the operational strength and industrial network needed to serve customers across industries and markets.

2012 a 2020
Expanding into specialty chemistry
In 2020, the addition of Huntsman’s EO/PO assets significantly expands the specialty surfactant and formulation portfolio, particularly across the Americas. The acquisition strengthens downstream oxides capabilities and opens access to high value-add markets, reinforcing the ability to work alongside customers to address complex industry challenges and accelerating the shift toward a business increasingly focused on sustainable, specialty solutions and customer-driven innovation.
In 2012, the integration of the Old World facility brings Indorama Ventures into the EO/EG market in the United States, the world’s largest chemical market. This move broadens access to new technologies and applications while strengthening technical expertise in surfactants, formulations, and specialty chemistry. It also brings the organization closer to customer needs and lays the groundwork for the capabilities that would later shape Indovinya.
2021 a 2022
Uniting global expertise and accelerating innovation
As the specialty platform grows, Indorama Ventures brings its oxides and derivatives activities, named IOD (Integrated Oxides and Derivatives), together within a more connected global structure. This alignment links teams, technologies, and expertise across regions, strengthening collaboration and enabling greater knowledge sharing and faster innovation to support customers.
In 2022, the integration of Oxiteno further accelerates this shift, adding advanced formulation expertise, sustainable technologies, and strong regional insight across the Americas. These additions support the development of more sustainable solutions that help customers meet performance and sustainability goals.
Together, these steps bring global expertise into a unified platform, creating the foundation for Indovinya.

Indovinya: a unified identity emerges
As teams across regions become more connected in how they innovate and support customers, a shared identity begins to take shape. What had been built and known as IOD evolves into Indovinya, a unified identity that reflects the maturity of this global specialty platform.
In 2025, Indovinya is officially launched as the global brand for Indorama Ventures’ specialty chemicals business. The name brings together Indorama and Avinya, the Sanskrit word for innovation, reflecting a heritage rooted in science and a future focused on impact.
Indovinya unites decades of expertise in surfactants, formulations, and specialty chemistry under one identity, combining global scale with deep application knowledge to help customers improve everyday products and advance more sustainable solutions.
