O crescimento de culturas geneticamente modificadas tolerantes \u00e0 herbicidas, entre eles o Glufosinato, tem proporcionado uma expectativa de forte crescimento em seu consumo, uma vez que \u00e9 uma das \u00fanicas novas alternativas no controle das daninhas resistentes ao glifosato. O n\u00edvel de tecnologia das formula\u00e7\u00f5es de herbicidas precisou evoluir, para permitir que combina\u00e7\u00f5es de ingredientes ativos fossem utilizadas como forma de manejo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al\u00e9m de ser eficaz no manejo de ervas daninhas resistentes ao glifosato, o glufosinato tamb\u00e9m controla plantas daninhas resistentes \u00e0 herbicidas com o mecanismo de a\u00e7\u00e3o inibidores de ALS, bem como as resistentes \u00e0 triazinas. O banimento do Paraquate em certas regi\u00f5es do mundo beneficiou o uso de glufosinato nos \u00faltimos anos, enquanto particularmente nas Am\u00e9ricas, as formula\u00e7\u00f5es de glifosato e glufosinato est\u00e3o se tornando cada vez mais comuns. O n\u00famero de novos produtos registrados triplicou de<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2017 a 2021, e o mercado de glufosinato \u00e9 estimado em U$ 723 milh\u00f5es, aplicados em mais de 37 mil hectares.
